Teos, which has also been very popular due to its location among 12 Ionian cities about 3000 years ago, has developed very rapidly with sea trade. 1. Temple of Dionysus

The Temple of Dionysus is among the largest temples in Anatolia and stands out as one of the most valuable structures in the ancient city of Teos. The temple, also known as the God of Wine and built for Dionysus, is also known as the largest building dedicated to him in the world.

 

2. Agora

This temple, which has structural similarities with the Athena temple in the ancient city of Ephesus, was dedicated to the Goddess Apollonis. The first remains of the temple, which consists of 3 separate sections, were found in the 1920s.

 

3. Odeaon

Odeaon, also known as Boueutrerion, where the council meetings in antiquity were held, is among the buildings that have managed to preserve itself in the ancient city in the best way possible. The best part of this structure which has been well preserved is that it enables to learn what kind of life Teos hosted in his past or the run-on rules of the period.


 

4. Ancient South Harbor

Teos has two main harbors as it has been a commercially valuable port for centuries. It is known that of these two harbors called North and South, the South Harbor is among the best preserved ancient harbors.
